Minimnya akses masyarakat terhadap buku (ilmu) secara nasional disebabkan oleh 3 hal mendasar, antara lain yaitu: anggapan bahwa buku hanya urusan anak sekolahan, ukuran sukses orang  indonesia masih materi (bukan ilmu), harga buku yang relatif mahal bagi sebagian besar masyarakat.
Memang ada sih LSM yang tugasnya mendonasi buku semacam YPPI dan Yayasan 1001 buku. Tapi melihat rasio jumlah anak dengan jumlah buku yang tersedia, terlalu lama jika harus menunggu donasi dari lembaga resmi. Dibutuhkan peran serta dari masyarakat secara aktif untuk memfasilitasi buku.
Jumlah buku sebenarnya banyak ada di masyarakat, hanya saja tidak semuanya tahu harus diapakan buku itu dan dikemanakan. Akhirnya jalan pintas, dijual kiloan. Bisa dibayangkan kan nasib buku buku itu jika sudah sampai di loakan? Yah betul, dibumihanguskan? Sementara jutaan anak di pedesaan seluruh Indonesia menahan rindu dendam hanya untuk membaca sebuah buku cerita.
Rider, pada posisi ini sangat strategis perannya. Kita tahu bahwa selama ini komunitas rider adalah “penguasa” jalanan. Indonesia bukanlah negara yang kecil, jangkauan bentang geografinya sangatlah menantang. Oleh karena itu menghadirkan buku bagi anak anak Indonesia membutuhkan TIM “Pemecah Karang” yang siap di segala medan.
Bicara soal gerakan literasi, banyak yang ”Nyinyir” alias sudah lama kita ‘kecewa’. Namun, berharap pada negara hanya memperdalam luka. Saya kira, sekarang sudah saatnya Anak anak Indonesia bergandenga tangan untuk berdiri di kaki sendiri membangun kemajuan bangsa di atas pondasi kecerdasan dan ilmu pengetahuan. Karena masa depan bangsa ada pada rakyatnya yang gemar membaca.
Saya juga sadar sepenuhnya, telinga kita telah sesak oleh jutaan kabar derita saudara saudara kita di pelosok nusantara, namun saya justru lebih yakin, jumlah orang yang peduli jauh lebih banyak. Hanya saja selama ini masih berjalan sendiri dan belum bersinergi.

Kita juga tahu, masyarakat kita telah lama menderita sakit, kita juga mesti percaya, obatnya juga banyak dan berada di dalam masyarakat itu sendiri. Hanya saja perlu penghubung di antara mereka agar mampu saling meyakinkan, berkomitmen, dan bergerak untuk perubahan nyata.
