Teater Langgas, Fasilitasi ABK Untuk Bebas Berkaya Dan Merdeka Belajar

Teater Langgas, begitu sebutan kelompok teater yang pengelolanya adalah dari pendidik Sekolah Luar Biasa Kalipuro. Setelah beberapa bulan lalu para pendidik yang juga bergabung menjadi relawan Rumah Literasi Banyuwangi ini menginisiasi rumah baca Gubuk Laksmi yang lokasinya berdekatan dengan sekolah. Rumah baca inklusi pertama di komunitas RLB yang digagas atas dasar kepedulian para guru sebagai ruang kreativitas anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus. Tidak hanya mereka yang ABK bisa belajar disana, anak-anak warga sekitar rumah baca pun rutin datang untuk belajar dan bermain bersama para relawan.

Selain berkolaborasi dengan Rumah Literasi Banyuwangi, SLB Kalipuro juga menggandeng Negri Dongeng Performance Institute untuk pengembangan pendidikan karakter melalui hobi dan seni. Beragam metode pembelajaran dikemas melalui kegiatan seni diajarkan kepada anak-anak dengan kebutuhan khusus, mulai dari Bernyanyi, Puisi, Menggambar, Pantomim dan Terater. Kak Dina, selaku guru yang juga relawan RLB merasa senang setelah sekolah membuka ruang untuk komunitas bisa berkolaborasi, dan guru-guru bisa lebih semangat belajar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan di bidang seni.

‘’Sekolah kami rutin minimal semiggu sekali berlatih beragam kegiatan seni, dan saat ini kami lagi belajar bermain teater untuk persiapan mengisi agenda Gebyar ABK di Pendopo Kabupaten awal bulan November ’’, ujar Kak Dina, perempuan yang juga punya bakat bermain drama.

Tentunya diperlukan kesabaran tingkat dewa untuk bisa menjadi guru bagi ABK. Apalagi setiap anak memiliki karakter yang unik dan beragam. Guru harus mampu belajar jadi fasilitator yang baik agar anak didik mampu mengenali potensinya. Memiliki semangat pembelajar guna menemani anak-anak tumbuh dengan fitrahnya dan merdeka atas pilihan hidupnya.

 

“Saya memilih mengabdi menjadi guru di SLB karena punya pengalaman yang menarik saat pertama kali mendampingi ABK. Muncul kepedulian dari dalam diri untuk terus mau belajar bagaimana menjadi guru yang baik buat anak-anak sehingga mampu menemani tumbuhnya mimpi anak-anak untuk menghadapi kehidupan bermasyarakat”, jelas Kak Dina

Selain itu Kak Dina menjelaskan bahwa banyak sekali tantangan yang ia temui ketika belajar bersama ABK. Guru perlu manjalin hubungan yang baik dan senyaman mungkin dengan anak-anak agar mereka bisa belajar dengan cara masing-masing. Keterampilan memodifikasi metode belajar di kelas juga menjadi sangat penting, ia menjelaskan bahwa setiap hari harus siap dengan kondisi ”Mood” anak-anak yang dengan cepat berubah. Terkadang jika tidak sabar guru akan mengalami stress yang mengakibatkan hubungan komunikasi akan menjadi terganggu.

 

Bagitu juga yang sempat diceritakan Kak Ayu, guru yang juga menjadi inisiator berdirinya Teater Langgas. Ia merasakan masih banyak sekali masyarakat yang belum bisa menerima keberadaan ABK. Kasus diskriminasi di masyarakat masih sering dijumpai. Belum lagi banyak sarana/fasilitas  umum yang tidak ramah kaum difabel. Namun, Kak Ayu tetap bangga melihat anak didiknya yang memiliki semangat belajar dan mampu menjadi guru bagi para pendidik.

“Mereka tetap semangat untuk berkarya dengan keterbatasan. Setiap pribadi mereka unik dan hal tersebut justru membuat guru belajar dari mereka untuk menciptakan metode belajar yang inovatif dan kreatif sesuai dengan kebutuhan masing-masing agar kelak mereka semakin mandiri”, jelas Kak Ayu.

Karya yang dihasilkan oleh anak-anak SLB Kalipuro juga sangat beragam. Banyak dari mereka terampil membuat merchandise seperti Pin, Gantungan Kunci, Gelas, Tas dari bahan bekas serta karya di bidang seni pertunjukan seperti pantomim, teater dan drama.

 

Ditanya tentang harapan, Kak Dina ingin sekolah tetap bisa membuka ruang untuk bisa berkolaborasi dengan banyak pihak agar potensi anak didiknya bisa terus dikembangkan. Mereka sangat senang saat ini bisa bersinergi dengan RLB dan Negri Dongeng Performance Institute karena semakin banyak karya yang bisa dihasilkan oleh anak-anak. Dan mereka bisa bebas berkarya serta merdeka dalam belajar sehingga perlahan bisa diakui keberadaanya oleh masyarakat.
